Tuarik begun his volunteerism journey with Hereafter Ghana in April 2018, and contributed to a range of programmes, including the Community Mobile Clinic, One Child One NHIS Card, Patient Rescue Fund, Women & Livelihood Empowerment, Widows & Orphans Support, and various community support initiatives.
His decision to volunteer was driven by a desire to give back to underserved communities, particularly those with limited access to healthcare, while applying his knowledge and experience in nutrition and public health to improve lives.

Over the years, volunteering has strengthened his leadership, communication and teamwork skills, while deepening his commitment to community service. For Tuarik, seeing the positive impact of collective efforts on people's lives remains a key motivation to continue serving.
One lesson from his journey reflects the essence of volunteerism:
“Meaningful change starts gradually with something small. It starts with serving others, listening to their needs, and working together to find practical solutions.”
His message to those considering volunteering is equally important:
“Don’t wait until you have everything to give. Your time, skills, and willingness to serve can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.”
We are grateful to Tuarik Alhassan for his continued commitment and contribution to community health and development.
We also extend our appreciation to all our volunteers, partners, supporters and donors whose collective efforts enable us to reach more communities and create lasting impact.
