For our inaugural Volunteer Spotlight, we are honoured to recognise Dr. Sanusi Sa-ad, a Medical Officer at Tamale Teaching Hospital and a committed volunteer with Hereafter Ghana since May 2022.

Since joining our volunteer team, Dr. Sa-ad has played an active role in the Community Mobile Clinic (CMC) initiative, bringing quality healthcare services closer to communities with limited access to medical care. From medical consultations to health education, he has consistently offered his time and professional expertise to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable populations.
A Passion for Community Health
Dr. Sa-ad's passion for volunteering is rooted in his desire to address health challenges where they are most prevalent. He believes that community health education is one of the most effective ways to improve health-seeking behaviour and reduce the burden of both communicable and non-communicable diseases.
His approach to healthcare extends beyond treating illness. By educating individuals and families on disease prevention, healthy lifestyles and the importance of seeking timely medical care, he contributes to building healthier and more informed communities.
A Rewarding Volunteer Journey
Reflecting on his experience with Hereafter Ghana, Dr. Sa-ad describes volunteering as both eye-opening and fulfilling.
"Volunteering with Hereafter Ghana has deepened my understanding of the challenges many people face in accessing healthcare. It has also given me the opportunity to educate and empower communities to make informed health decisions."

His experiences during community outreaches have reinforced the importance of taking healthcare beyond the walls of hospitals and reaching people where they live.
Encouraging Others to Serve
Dr. Sa-ad encourages anyone considering volunteer work to take that step and make a difference.
"People should not hesitate to volunteer, as it is a meaningful act of service that helps improve lives and brings smiles to people's faces."
His words reflect the spirit of volunteerism that continues to drive Hereafter Ghana's work across Northern Ghana.
A Message to Our Supporters
Recognising that community impact is made possible through collective effort, Dr. Sa-ad also expressed his appreciation to the individuals and organisations that support Hereafter Ghana's mission.
"I urge supporters and donors of Hereafter Ghana to persist in their commendable efforts, ensuring that the humanitarian services offered continue to thrive."
