Our Story and Mission
Hereafter-Ghana (My Hereafter Project - MHP) is a grassroots non-profit organization founded in 2013 by Nuhu Alimatu Sadia Gambo, then a 19-year-old woman with a vision to support the needy through local resource mobilization. What began as a youth-led initiative has grown into a decade-long journey of championing equality in access to healthcare services, particularly for women, children, and underserved communities across Ghana.
The organization was officially registered with the Registrar General's Department in February 2018 and is licensed under the Non-Profit Organizations (NPO) framework in Ghana. Between 2013 and 2018, we established ourselves through skills training programs, donations to orphanages and prisons, fundraising for needy students, and building lasting relationships within the communities we serve.
Today, our work has expanded to include monthly mobile clinics that have screened over 10,000 people for malaria and provided essential healthcare services to rural communities. Through our 1Child 1NHIS project, we've registered over 5,400 people onto Ghana's National Health Insurance Scheme at no cost. Our digital crowdfunding initiatives have raised over ₵600,000 to support nearly 168 individuals facing medical emergencies, mobilizing donations ranging from ₵10 to larger contributions to save lives and give hope to families in desperate situations.
We envision vibrant communities where individuals are equipped with the tools and knowledge to shape their own futures—a Ghana where everyone has equal access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities, regardless of their background.
